Has bowled 55 consecutive years since
starting in 1923. Has served 34 years on Minnesota State Bowling Association Board of
Directors, serving as president in 1950-51. A state life member past 27 years and member
of nominating committee during that span. Has missed only two State tournaments in 44
years and competed in all City tournaments since 1932 when he and Carl Bade finished 2nd
in Class B doubles. Member of two City Teams champions 30 years apart - Joesting &
Schilling in 1943 and Union Advocate, Class C champions in 1973. Served as ABC delegate in
1940-41, was active as Men's State President in 1951 when ABC tournament was held in St.
Paul. As proprietor of Seven Corners Printing Co., sponsored teams in two leagues for 20
years. Served as secretary of Allied Printing Trades League from 1930 to 1932. Owns high
series of 689, high game of 299 and had a top average of 189, with lifetime mark about
175.
