One of five people who opened Minnehaha
Lanes in 1958. Since then has been very active in all aspects of the bowling game. Is past
President of the St. Paul Bowling Proprietor Association, Minnesota State BPA and is an
officer at the Metro BPA and former National Director. Along with his partners, has
sponsored many bowling and softball teams. Has hosted several men's and women's Minnesota
State and St. Paul City tournaments in addition to several Junior tournaments. Originated
the "56" Club at Minnehaha in 1960-61. It is still a very popular function for
his center's bowlers (women with 500 or more and men with 600 or more series). Very active
in promoting the Bowlers Recognition Dinner and has served as Master of Ceremonies several
times. Also an active league bowler. Personal best are a 268 game and a 668 series. Has
averaged around 188 for the past twenty years.
