Started bowling career around 1950 and
remains very active. Was elected to the St. Paul WBA Board of Directors in 1971 and served
in that position for six years. While serving on the WBA Board; co-chaired the Bowlers
Recognition Dinner, served on the Budget & Finance, All-City Selection, Auditing, and
Awards Dinner committees. Devoted many hours developing the first association record and
average books. Is presently a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Paul
"600" Club and chaired the Metro "600" Tournament in 1994. Volunteers
her time wherever required. Examples are score keeping, chairing the "600" Club
Dinner and Picnic, working where needed at the International Special Olympics and
attending most association meetings. Has bowled in 27 Women's International Bowling
Congress (WIBC) tournaments and attended several of their conventions. Also, at the
national level, she was a member of a team which finished third in the WIBC Team event.
She's bowled in 32 Minnesota "State" tournaments and attended several of their
conventions. Has also bowled in 36 St. Paul "City" tournaments. She was a member
of the All-Star League eight years, the Northwest Masters League seventeen years and the
Ladies' City League twenty-seven years. A charter member of the St. Paul BPA Traveling
league. Member of the 1966 and 1970 St. Paul "City" Tournament Team champions.
Was a member of St. Paul's All-City team two times. High single game is 285 and high
series is 650. Has rolled over thirty-five 600-or-more series and her high final season
average to date is 182.
