Andy started bowling in 1956. He has bowled
one 299 and two 298's. His highest series is 798 and his highest average is 214. Andy won
the St. Paul Masters in 1972, the second year of the tournament. He has bowled in the
Drkula's Classic League on Monday nights since 1962. He was 6th in the Doubles Event of
the 1965 ABC Tournament held in St. Paul. King of the All City Team in 1969-70 and on the
All City Team in 1971-72. He was Secretary of the Drkula Monday night Classic for 10
years. He was the owner of HI Score Bowling Supply for 15 years and sponsored nearly 30
teams over the years. Dick Ritger and Andy ran a Bowling Academy in Australia under the
sponsorship of AMF from 1985-90. They traveled twice a year (Spring and Fall) for a total
of 45 days each time. Andy was responsible for Ball drilling clinics for the FIQ team of
Australia, coaching Boys and Girls Youth Camps and instructing and setting up AMF Pro
Shops for various bowling centers in Australia. He also served as coach for a FIQ team
from United Arab Emirates (1991-1993) for three years which was interrupted by the Gulf
War. During those three years he participated tournaments in 13 countries throughout
Europe and Asia. He also conducted Pro Shop Clinics at the same time.
